1934 Packard 1105 Super Eight Limo.

This car was assembled in Windsor, Ontario  Apparently there were 14 super 8 limos built  that year, in Canada--12lhd and 2rhd for England etc. I am told that several of the lhd cars were sold to the gov't of the Province for their senior elected officials. This car was one of these and was chauffeur driven for several years. I was told that during the war years it was sold to a convent in Montreal for the use of the Mother Superior. It was then sold to a local celebrity in Hull, Quebec [he was choirmaster of a world renowned choir. [across river from Ottawa and 120 miles from Montral]. During engine rebuild this man's daughter came into garage and recognized the "family car".  In 1949 Keith Collins bought the car and kept it until 1997 when I bought it .  He had worked during the war building Merlin engines and was certainly qualified to rebuild the engine which I hired him to do in 1998 and 1999.  We believe the odometer is correct at 93223 miles.

Roof done in 2000. I do not believe staining is from leaks but rather from condensation as previous owner had left it in an unheated building for at least 25 years.  The exterior has no rust to my knowledge except maybe surface rust under fenders.

All doors work well and inside locks work.  I have to admit I have never tried to use passenger side lock to fully lock car because it has never been out of my garage or sight!!   No original trunk, however I do have a correctly sized stainless steel trunk which only requires covering and latches. The trunk support is excellent and complete.  There no signs that this car has ever been involved in any type of collision.  Gauges all work, but sometimes gas/oil flicks when gas is low. I had 8 day Waltham clock rebuilt.

Car drives well and brakes fine.  Engine, front springs, brakes, radiator, gas tank, clutch, wheel bearings have all been overhauled and renewed. Trans was deemed to be ok so we did not touch it except to change fluids and main gaskets. Same for differential.  Tires are from Coker and have less than 1000 miles on them.

Car is presently registered in Ontario and is Safety Checked and licensed to be driven anywhere. I presently have it licensed and insured as an Historic Vehicle, although up until 2 years ago I had it licensed as a regular car.
